The Twilight of The American Republic

The Twilight of The American Republic: An American Essay by an American Citizen

We may fall this very night, we may ride history into our end.  But we will face the twilight as prideful people.  For we are citizens of a great nation, that is now in its twilight.  May the fates watch over us in our fight.  May the almighty guide us in our fight to save us from ourselves.  There is a saying, “That the prideful will fall, the grateful will be forgiven.”

We are the cusp of what may be greatest nightmare or our greatest challenge.  No matter what path we choose, our fates are locked into the fight for our future.  Our souls may be at stake for those who chose to wear their faith on their arms, while we wear our faith where it should be wore, our hearts.  God blessed us with the greatest gift in the known universe, “Free Will.”

That is the difference between us all, on how we use that gift.  Are we all sheep or do we decide choose our own destiny?  Fortune may favor those in power at this time, but time and patience will always favor those who are not.  Yes, we may be the mighty and we may be the powerful but we are also the lost.  If fate foretold that our democracy was to fall into the hands of zealots, and then our walk into the twilight should humble us.  History has shuddered at what has occurred in what was the world’s greatest democracy.  But what will be recorded is how this democracy fell to theocrats and the demise of personal responsibility.

If faith were meant to be use as a form of government then the founders of this nation, would have made it so.  There are thresholds that we can run up against but should never be crossed.  There are things that should never be use against a person or tactics to be use against us all.  We are great, and we hope to be greater.  But if the world no longer trusts us, or hold us in high regard.  Then our war will be with the world and if that does come to being, we will stand-alone.  This is our twilight; this is our fall.  If where you stand for what make us great than where you fall for who you know and what you want.  Then we still have a chance.  We still have a chance to stop the twilight of a great nation.  In Exodus it says,” Let onto Cesar, what is Cesar’s; and Let onto God, what is God’s.”
